Almost Turkey Time!!
Oh how I love the holidays! There are just so many fun activities to do. If I had all the time in the world....my class would do everything on this web page: www.familyfun.go.com
For now, our class will be creating Turkey Treats on Tuesday. This is a tradition in my 2nd grade classroom. It usually is quite a process. I try and do something different each year the turkeys are created. This year the change is Cocoa Krispie Treats. YUM!! Here is a sneak peak at what our treats will be!
I have found many, many projects on this wonderful site: www.familyfun.go.com
I LOVE all of the ideas provided. Go ahead and check it out! I bet you'll find lots of fun ideas to try out yourself!
****P.S.*****Turkey Treat pictures will follow soon!

Welcome to Bowlesburg City!
We have been learning about communities during Social Studies time. We are at the end of the unit and Miss Ward planned a fun map activity. Our classroom was transformed into a city....Bowlesburg City that is. The students used a compass rose to move around our city. They learned how to go north, south, east, and west using that tool. It was such a fun activity! Next time you're lost, ask your child for directions. They might be able to help you out! :)

~First Day of School~
Our first day of second grade went great! We did a few "getting to know you" activities. There was a lot to see around the room. I had to do lots of talking today....yikes! :) My voice may need a break tomorrow. The first day was so much fun.....we are excited for the second! I am very fortunate to have a great group of students. We will have such a good time this year!
